Shady Rays came to us looking for a rotating camera move. Our friend Justin Lee suggested we use the “bot”.

We quickly realized that shooting 240+ frames per second meant a ton of light,

a ton of light meant it had to be lit super evenly and timing was a mater of 1/16th of second.

Designed a system of catapults that could be changed on the fly, allowing for micro adjustment of direction, angle, height, and speed.

We built curved walls, making the light even, and rigged catapults that allowed us to sync the triggers up with a specific frame.
